River Bend Golf and Country Club, an 18-hole course with a 71 par, is a semiprivate course that accepts public play with reservations up to seven days in advance. Weekdays you may play 18 holes for $15 walking, $25 riding. Weekends and holidays, you may play 18 holes before noon for $28 and after noon for $15. Carts are available for $11 (Yardage & fees are approximate. For exact fees & yardage, please call the course. Joel C. Jenkins, the club's PGA professional, offers lessons, clinics and club repair for all levels. River Bend also offers one of the most fully stocked golf shops in the area and a driving range/putting green/sand bunker for practice. Two new tennis courts and the area's largest outdoor swimming pool are available at no charge if you are a member or the guest of a member. The facility offers a grill room and a catering facility that will accommodate up to 200 guests. River Bend has one of the area's nicest golf course layouts with many upgrades being made since the new ownership took over in February 1999.
