the Cherry Branch-Minnesott ferry for 15 minutes, and
you will be almost at the gate of the Minnesott Golf
and Country Club. Take a left off Route 306 shortly
after you leave the ferry parking lot, and follow the
winding road back towards the Neuse River; at the end
is the hidden treasure of Minnesott. The course, built
nearly 30 years ago, is an 18-hole par 72. It offers
two sand traps, eight holes with water and a medium
length of 6001 yards. Golfers can enjoy the large pines
and oaks as they play the new hybrid bermudagrass greens
the club recently installed. Minnesott's greens fees
are $23 during the week. After noon, golfers can play
18 holes for $18 or nine holes for $13. Weekend fees
are $29 before 1 PM and $18 after 1 PM. All fees include
cart. There's a snack bar and pro shop on the premises,
and club pro Terry Bobbin is available for lessons. |
